You will certainly like this news if you are the one who works out in the evening and drinks beer instead of water or milk. In a recent research which was published in Washington Times, the scientists have found out that drinking beer after workout rehydrates the body much better than water.

According to Prof. Manuel Garzon of Granada University in Spain, the carbonation in beer helps to quench the thirst and its carbohydrate content helps replace lost calories.

During the study, a group of students were allowed to workout till their body temperature reached about 104 degrees. Later, half of the students were made to drink beer and the rest were given water.

The result showed that the hydration effect in those who consumed beer was slightly better than those who drank water.

Drinking beer rehydrates the body after workouts, that’s a good one but should it be an alcoholic or non-alcoholic beer? Both of them are available in the market.

If the subject was alcoholic beer, how much alcohol should a beer contain? There are so many varieties of alcoholic beer – both mild and strong!


Then the ultimate question – How many bottles of beer?
